New Foundation Course Starting 10th Oct 2023
Welcome
Welcome to the home of Kairos School of Astrology. My name is John Wadsworth. I’m a professional astrologer, author and teacher, and I founded the Kairos School in 2008 in Glastonbury, UK. And since 2010, I’ve been running a comprehensive two-year training, employing an experiential approach to learning astrology, taking students through from beginner to practitioner level.
“This course is great for beginners like myself or slightly more advanced students. The classes are fun, and the class summary, and transcript are provided for anyone to re watch and understand. Highly recommend. I’ve thoroughly loved them, and can’t wait to get to the next level.”
The Kairos Approach
The approach we take at the Kairos School combines aspects of traditional, psychological and evolutionary astrology. Rooted in an archetypal framework, we treat the planets as characters who perform particular roles in the psyche and find expression in specific areas of life that correspond to those psychic functions. We offer an experiential, embodied astrological education at the school, one that is rooted in active imagination.
Our approach will help you to shift your perception of planets and stars being mere physical ‘objects in the sky' or abstract ‘symbols in the chart’, and move you toward an engagement with them instead as living metaphors, presences and energies that are rooted in our language, in our body and in the world we inhabit.
“John Wadsworth’s foundation course is one of the most enjoyable courses I have taken. A true pleasure to learn to integrate this ancient science into every day life. I could not recommend this course more. ”

Online Training
The course now take place online, through live zoom webinars in an online classroom environment, run through the kajabi platform. We have a team of three teachers: myself, Tamsin St George & Gillian Crawford.
The courses we run at the Kairos School will enable you to:
learn the rules and techniques of astrological interpretation
deepen your sensitivity to symbolism and the symbolic imagination.
become responsive and articulate around myth
recognise astrological symbols in the world around you
develop mindfulness around language and ethics when working astrologically
gain a deep appreciation of the planets as archetypes
experiencing the shadow force and the medicine that each archetype presents to the soul, becoming more sensitive to which astrological archetypes are expressing themselves most strongly in a persons life.
Develop a practice in real situations, both in terms of your personal chart, and the chart of family, friends and perhaps, eventually clients.
“I enrolled in the Kairos School because I sensed a supportive environment in which to deepen my understanding of astrology. The course exceeded my expectations, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the Foundation Course to everyone interested in learning astrology, or sharpening and honing their skills.”

We have a new moon in in the sensuous earth sign of Taurus today, a day for us to sow the seed of intention for the month, guided by the medicine of the Bull, with its promise of bounty and fecundity. Taurus reminds us to slow down, to stay connected to our bodily rhythms, and to the good earth that nourishes us, to stay present to what is, and to take our time to enjoy the pleasures of this beautiful, bounteous season, where the increase of light supports nature's growth. There is a supportive sextile aspect from Saturn, which can help to ground and mature our intentions, while an applying conjunction to Uranus could signal some unexpected developments this month, which might be unsettling, so as we set our intention, it is wise to factor this in, connect to our radical humanness, and be open for surprises!
